Anyone can go beyond a step ahead the ladder when he uses the global language. And if I said anyone, I mean it. To tell you, if a person can communicate well with others using the so called global language, he will have the edge amongst competitors. This isn't a challenge. This is a must for us, Filipinos, to comply for the improvement of the nation we're living in and the individual that we are.
English is a language of the Philippines. We can't deny the fact that we are separated geographically from countries wherein people consider it as their native tongue. But then, the difference isn't just geographically but also economically. As you see, comparing our nation to big English-speaking countries is so not a good idea. Philippines couldn't surpass or even level with other nations when it comes to a lot of fields. Our nation is such a pity; But we can uplift ourselves from being degraded by not only knowing what English is but internalizing it as well. Learning the English language isn't just about nouns, verbs, or adverbs. learning it is being able to apply it in various life situations. It is not about knowing the literature of word but knowing when and where to use it. English is plainly a thing that we must learn to adapt ourselves into.
A superb post dear. Thumbs-up. You should email this to the people who are concerned in this topic. Evryone will love reading. XDD I read this 5 times. I especially like the part when you told "Learning the English isn't just abput nouns, verbs and adverbs". This is so totally true. I think I learned speaking English language when I was 3 years old by reading all those nursery rhymes like Mary had a little Lamb and even watching those foreign drama in the television. And alsoat this times who would survive in the other countries without learninghow to speak English.
